Political differences of opinion, are not to be confused with our appreciation for the Officers that truly are out there putting their lives on the line to protect and serve the citizens of our commu...nity.
Sometimes it is easy to want to blame the actual people in law enforcement for laws and policies that many people strongly disagree with. Not only is this inappropriate, and unjust to those who serve on the front line; but it is also unproductive. Two recent incidents, personally experienced in downtown Springfield, during which the Police did respond to help with real crimes, crimes of violence, are only two examples of many in which our local law enforcement community deserves our appreciation and respect. I personally just want to say Thank You! Thanks for being there. You are very much appreciated.
